Texas A&M Aggies football continues its recruiting momentum, landing in the top six for 2028 four-star edge prospect George Parkinson IV. The Aggies join elite company including Oregon, Penn State, and Ohio State in the race for the Pennsylvania standout.
Parkinson, a 6-4, 235-pound edge rusher, has spent most of his high school career at tight end but projects as a high-ceiling pass rusher. His length and athleticism make him a coveted target for defensive-minded programs. Texas A&M’s defensive staff sees him as a key piece in their future plans.
Under head coach Mike Elko, the Aggies have prioritized defensive recruits who can dominate SEC offenses. Parkinson fits that mold perfectly. With the Aggies already securing a commitment from four-star edge Chance Archangel in June, adding Parkinson would give them a formidable duo for the 2028 class.
The Aggies aren’t just focused on defense. They’re also gaining traction with offensive targets like four-star wide receiver Jayden Addai, son of former NFL running back Joseph Addai. Meanwhile, their top-ranked 2027 class is nearly complete after landing four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen.
While early top-six lists can shift, Texas A&M’s inclusion is a strong sign of their recruiting prowess. The Aggies are building a pipeline of defensive talent to compete in the SEC for years to come. Next up, they face Missouri State Bears on September 5, 2026, before turning their full attention back to the recruiting trail.
