Texas A&M Aggies Receive Accolades with 8 Players Named to All-Texas Teams

Texas A&M Aggies coach Mike Elko returns 65% of his 2026 roster, with eight players named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas college football teams.

What happened?

The Aggies have four players earning first-team honors, including WR Mario Craver, OL Wikin Formby, LB Ray Coney, and S Marcus Ratcliffe.

The team is preparing for the upcoming season after losing to Miami in the first round last season.

Why it matters for Texas A&M Aggies

With redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed returning for his fourth season, the Aggies possess enough depth and talent at every position to contend for the College Football Playoff.

The returning roster will make or break Texas A&M's chances of making it back to the CFP.

What comes next?

The Aggies' next game is vs Missouri State Bears on 2026-09-05.

New defensive coordinator Lyle Hemphill landed three critical portal commitments from linebacker Ray Coney, cornerback Rickey Gibson III, and junior edge Anto Saka.

The team also landed four SEC offensive line starters, including former Alabama starting right tackle Wilkin Formby.

And with veteran center Mark Nabou serving as the lone returning starter, the Aggies have a strong foundation for the upcoming season.

But replacing a record 10 NFL Draft selections won't be easy.

So the team is looking to the returning roster to make a difference.

The DCTF Texas A&M All-Texas Players include WR Mario Craver, OL Wikin Formby, LB Ray Coney, and S Marcus Ratcliffe on the first team.

OL Mark Nabou Jr., RB Rueben Owens II, CB Rickey Gibson III, and Edge Anto Saka were named to the second team.
